Fellows Biographies
Friday Fellows in the network are leaders who impact the legal industry, social services, philanthropy, the business arena, the academy, the legislature, school systems and health care systems daily. The fellows comprise a group of diverse and vibrant citizens who serve in a multitude of civic and volunteer capacities, putting them in contact and positions of influence with the rich texture of people across the state. Within these venues, the Fellows access the skills, language and perspectives that are conductive to exploring the ways in which bridges can be built across deep differences. | Annual Fellows Gatherings
As the Fellows Action Network grows it is increasingly important for Fellows to meet other across Fellowship groups to continue their learning experience and create new and renew old connections. To achieve this we hold an annual statewide gathering every Spring at Wildacres Retreat in Little Switzerland. This gathering includes Fellows families in order to broaden our reach to partners, friends, children and other family members.
In addition to this weekend, WLI sponsors smaller regional meetings so that Fellows may gather in their common communities to support each other and keep conversations going about local and statewide efforts. These typically happen at the homes of Fellows or some central meeting place and last just a few hours. Gatherings, either at statewide or regional level, offer opportunities to connect, determine the most pressing human relations issues needing Fellows' collective attention and continue to envision and build integral, intentional and inclusive leadership for the future of North Carolina.
